The house is finished and we move in! Yay!

We actually managed to move in during the second week in June, a year to the day after we moved from the Mountains.
The incentive was to get our goodies out of storage so we didn't have to pay for another month!

There is still much to do -
1. Organise the studio. Mammoth task!
2. Cover the mud/dust with something.

Thanks to our lovely neighbour Dave for help with the heavy stuff.
And to Gav our wonderful builder for the loan of his super-sized trailer.

Our (house) plans

Many people have been asking about our house plans.
So here is the designer's impression of what our house will look like.

It is just a simple 2 bedroom home, one of the bedrooms will be my workroom.
The bathroom is a bit different now, the wall doesn't stick out and the bathroom is a bit smaller.
It is a solar passive design, with large windows on the northern side. The windows will slide to allow the outside and inside to merge.
The kitchen windows open onto a terrace for alfresco dining!

There is also a large garage and carport to house our caravan.
The water tanks in between the house and garage are an architectural feature.

We'll have solar panels and solar hot water.

All being well building will start later this year when we get back from our BIG TRIP.
